Questions about data security

Where is our data stored?

Your data is stored in the United States, on MongoDB Atlas, with continuous backups. We can restore it to any point in time. Files are kept on AWS, also in the United States. You can export your data to Excel while your plan is active. After your plan ends, write to support@emly.co to get your data. Write to the same address with security questions and data deletion requests.

Who can see our clients’ phone numbers?

Only people you allow. Set permissions by role and branch, mask phone numbers and limit specialists to their own clients. Export needs a separate permission. Without “view all history”, reports, lists and exports show only the last 30 days. Open items, such as unpaid sales, remain visible.

What if someone leaves the team or loses their phone?

Remove them from the team, and all their devices are signed out. You can also sign out any device by hand, and changing a password signs out the other devices automatically.

Can we protect sign-in with a second step?

Yes. Each team member can turn on a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello), an authenticator app and recovery codes. With two-step verification on, signing in with a password or with Google also asks for the second step. If someone loses access to every method, a person with the required permission must restore their access; an email alone cannot do it.

Do card details pass through emly?

No. Clients enter their card details on Ameria Bank’s payment page. Card payments are available in Armenia only.
